A glance at our homepage anytime during December would tell you that any year is a hot time for the Air Jordan 11. However, in recent months, we’ve gotten some pretty unexpected flare-ups for Jordan’s favorite silhouette, including the RM-style Jordan DMSN 95 and its first collaborative effort as a high with Comme des Garçons.

That “side quest“ energy continues with news that the Jordan Future Low will be returning in 2027. Indeed, that aforementioned upcoming takedown model is relevant here, given the shared use of the AJ11’s platform. The Jordan Future, first introduced in 2014 as a mid-cut, revamped the formal-esque sneaker with woven fabric uppers, a less bulky and airier take on its hallmarks. Shortly after, in 2015, the Future Low stepped out of the shadows, now evidently primed for a second market run more than a decade later.

The move to bring the diminutive version back first is an interesting one, another moment where the success of the Spizike Low is illuminating. Though Spike Lee’s sig silo had been a divisive proposition for years, its shorter sibling met far more amenable waters upon introduction, likely speaking to the same consumer preferences the Jumpman has circled here. Additionally, this adds to a spate of Beaverton revitalizations for some genuine curios of old; the Jordan Trunner and Air Force 1 “Foamposite” some additional examples.

Already, we know of two colorways on the way back, leaning on the “Gamma” and “Cool Grey” pairs from its original go-around. Expect a Summer 2027 debut for the Jordan Future Low, clocking in at $145 in men’s sizing.
