Jordan Brand is adding another unusual release to their schedule for this year. The Air Jordan 17 is finally getting some new styles, including this “Black Patent” edition coming in August.

The Air Jordan 17 has been the subject of many rumors for the past two years. The iconic silhouette has very rarely been reproduced by the Jumpman, thanks to the addition of a hefty briefcase and generally less hype around the model as other Jordan fan favorites. Last year there were plenty of leaks and rumors suggesting we were going to get a string of special releases, but only the Infinite Archives collaboration actually made it into the hands of the public. Now, with the “Black Pack” on the way this Fall, another blacked-out edition of the AJ17 has surfaced, reportedly arriving even earlier than its counterpart. This “Black Patent” look comes with a glossy patent outer layer, a perforated leather shell underneath, and a mesh bootie. The look is completed with silver chrome hardware for the laving system.

AIR JORDAN 17 LOW “BLACK PATENT” RELEASE INFORMATION

The latest edition of the Air Jordan 17 Low to emerge is currently expected to release this Summer, on August 8th, 2026. This style seems to be separate from the upcoming “Black Pack” series, but comes in a full black patent leather upper with chrome hardware. Pairs are expected to release from both Nike and select retailers for $245.
