Thank you, New York. Last weekend, Sneaker News celebrated our first-ever sneaker collaboration alongside our friends at Bape, and we were fortunate to share the moment with many of the partners, readers, and friends who’ve helped shape our 20-plus years in sneaker journalism.
Day One: The Launch Party
Sneaker News, Bape, and StockX took over the Lower East Side with an underground celebration that couldn’t help but spill into the street, bringing out key industry players, celebs, and more. It was a reminder of our network, as well as the creative diversity of the city we call home. Styles P and Laura Stylez pulled up. Spring Break held the drink cart down. Ryan Witherspoon laid down some bars. And in fitting Sneaker News fashion, the night ended with those in attendance watching the Knicks secure a win on a TV mounted outside.
Day Two: The Pop-Up Shop
On day two, we opened our doors to the public for a one-time-only pop-up. Both Sneaker News x Bape Sta colorways were available to purchase, and we were glad to see some of you brave the rainy weather and pull through. If you missed out, we’ve attached images of the space here for your viewing pleasure. To all who came through, thanks for making our first sneaker drop one to remember.
