Kith and New Balance are seemingly always working on something new, and this week we have an early peek at whats coming in 2026. Ronnie Fieg shared a teaser of a new brick red style of the 990v4, releasing in Spring.
Kith and New Balance share one of the most consistent and respected partnerships in modern sneaker culture. Since the mid-2010s, Ronnie Fieg has used Kith’s platform to reimagine classic New Balance silhouettes like the 574, 997, 990, and 998 through premium materials, thoughtful color stories, and narrative-driven releases. Many collaborations are produced in New Balance’s Made in USA factories, reinforcing craftsmanship and authenticity. Their partnership stems from founder Ronnie Fieg making SMU colorways at his first job in footwear, New York’s David Z.
This weekend, Fieg shared another early look at what is in store from Kith and New Balance in the new year. No official information regarding the project is available yet, but the two will return to the 990v4 for another release. The two photos shared by Ronnie give us a good idea of what to expect, coloring the runner in a brick-like dusty red tone. The mesh base layer comes in a slightly lighter tone, while the mid layers and suede overlays feature a darker shade. Silver metallic N logos hit each side of the shoe, with grey midsoles to complete the look.
KITH X NEW BALANCE 990V4 RELEASE INFORMATION
There is currently no official word on when we will see the next release of the New Balance 990v4 from Kith, but we estimate a release sometime in Spring 2026. Teased by Ronnie Fieg over the weekend, the shoe sports a dusty brick red shade across its mesh and suede upper. Pairs will be available exclusively through Kith, likely for a price tag around $220.
