The Kith retail imprint continues to spread its wings, opening new flagship locations at major cities across the United States. Chicago will be the next venture for Ronnie Fieg‘s ever-growing empire, and he’s tapping some of the biggest ASICS collectors in the game to help commemorate the store opening.
Ronnie leave no stone unturned and focuses on storytelling through his business moves, so for Kith Chicago, the World’s Fair served as the focal point to bring the Windy City to his home base in New York City. Both cities played host to this historical event; Ronnie admits that this idea eventually evolved into a massive project with ASICS that involved a total of 36 samples that were whittled down to an eight-shoe collection.
It has become tradition for Ronnie to launch a sneaker collaboration in conjunction with a new store opening (for example, the Osaka-exclusive New Balances for his latest Japanese outpost). The final eight haven’t been fully revealed, although the Kith head does show three GEL-Lyte III colorways, a GEL-Kayano 14, and a GEL-Lyte 3.1.
An official announcement for the Kith Chicago x ASICS collection will be coming ahead of the October 4th grand opening, so stay tuned for updates.
