Long-time collaborators, Porsche and PUMA, have revealed the results of their latest partnership, in the form of two limited edition sneaker collections -- the first of which marks Porsche's 75th anniversary as an automaker and the second celebrating 60 years of the iconic 911.The first collection dubbed the "Rennsport Reunion 7," featuring the Mirage Sport Tech trainers, presents itself as the more modern offering of the two offerings, featuring pairs available in either black or white.Porsche shares that silhouette aims to capture the essence of the racetrack and urban fashion, with details including Porsche Rennsport Reunion branding across the tongue, insole, and packaging. Other design elements include a classic checkered flag design near the heel and a vibrant play of red and blue accent colors. The "Rennsport Reunion 7" Mirages are available for purchase now, via the official Porsche Design Online Shop and select Porsche Design retailers, for a price of $150 USD.As for collection two, the automaker visits both the past and future of its iconic 911 model, for two deeply inspired pairs, namely the "Retro" which draws on the 1972 Porsche 911 S 2.5 and the "Heritage" which draws on the automaker's latest 911 S/T.Notable design elements found in the "Retro" model include a light blue suede finish mirroring that of the '72 911 S's original color and also features the starting number 56 at the heel. Limited to 1,972 pairs, the "Retro" also features a leather flap that indicates the rarity and specific edition number of the shoe.As for the "Heritage" sneaker, it's brought to life dressed in a sporty leather silhouette of gray, with hints of cognac-brown lining, also made to match the vehicle it draws inspiration from. At the heel, the sneakers proudly display the number 63, commemorating the birth year of the Porsche 911, along with "Porsche" lettering stamped across the back.Limited to 1,963 pairs, each sneaker’s unique number is featured under the tongue, which notably replicates the pattern of the car seats. Both models offer a mix-and-match lacing option with red for the left and black for the right and come with an extra set in each shade. The shoe’s packaging resonates with its color, complete with distinctive grill badges and start numbers.
