Following a “Triple White” Jellyfish colorway that sparked conversations far and wide about the state of Pharrell x adidas hype, the Louis Vuitton Men’s Creative Director is turning the page with the adidas Jellyfish “Crystal Sand” for the summer-to-fall transition, set to land September 2026.

First spotted on the feet of the man himself back in December of last year, the adidas Jellyfish “Crystal Sand” sports a breezy contemporary palette with a number of light beige tones across the foundation. The TPU stripes come in black, while baby blue hits on the tongue branding and back half of the midsole add some unique character.

There’s been some recent #discourse in the sneaker world about the state of Pharrell x adidas hype since the “Triple White” Jellyfish colorway launched last month. While every colorway before it sold out quickly, this was the first to sit, almost certainly due to increased production numbers. We’ve seen similar trajectories play out with plenty of hyped silhouettes and partnerships in the past, including during adidas’ own Ultraboost and Yeezy era of the late 2010s. Hypebeasts have been conditioned to want what they can’t have, and when they suddenly can, consensus tends to cool. That’s not a knock on Pharrell x adidas or some belated indictment of the Jellyfish itself – that’s just the game. How the “Crystal Sand” release plays out should tell us a lot about whether wider availability becomes the norm moving forward.
