You know sneaker loafers; now get ready for sneaker heels. Onitsuka Tiger has retooled its extraordinarily popular Mexico 66 silhouette for the runway, set to debut an all-new kitten heel version for Fall 2026.
There’s nothing normal about a sneaker-heel, but it’s actually quite easy to trace how we got here. The Mexico 66 stands as one of today’s most popular slim-soled models, right up there alongside the adidas Samba. It’s particularly beloved by fashionable young women, and the past few summers have seen the shoe out in force, especially in its quintessential black and yellow “Kill Bill” colorway. With that core fanbase in mind, Onitsuka Tiger delivering a kitten heel actually makes a good deal of strategic sense. The transformation features a pointed toe, leather footbed, and wrap-around strap attached to the still-present side motif.
Multiple Mexico 66 kitten heels were unveiled at Onitsuka Tiger’s Fall 2026 runway show, including black/yellow and red/white/blue options. The broader runway presentation was intriguing in its own right, supplemented by a number of high-top snakeskin wrestling boots.
See the full Onitsuka Tiger spread below if you’re as intrigued as we are. All items are slated to release during the Fall 2026 shopping window, roughly between July and September.
