Following pre-orders this summer after the Knicks secured the NBA championship, OG Anunoby’s Skechers SKX Nexus “NYC Blue” is dropping again at Extra Butter. The release will be held FCFS style at Extra Butter’s Long Island City location from 1:00 to 7:00 PM EST on Friday, October 16th, with the line starting at the Allen St. entrance.

The New York Knicks’ historic NBA Championship run continues to pay dividends, both for the players who won’t (or shouldn’t) have to pay for a meal for life and for the sneaker brands that represent them. For soft spoken Finals Game 4 hero OG Anunoby, Skechers has been doing some of its best work since entering the basketball category, making headlines with a Timberland-inspired PE, gifting an autographed pair to Martha Stewart, and then announcing that “The Tip” will indeed be getting his own signature model down the line.

Skechers also hooked OG up with a SKX Nexus “NYC Blue” PE during the NBA Finals, which was on foot for his iconic tip-in shot in Game 4 and the series-clinching win in Game 5, immediately cementing a place in sneaker and basketball history. Skechers responded by opening the shoe up for pre-order a few weeks later, with capacity running out quickly. Now, with the Knicks’ first title defense season in over half a century looming, fans have another shot at securing a pair.
