Update: Official campaign images of the thisisneverthat x New Balance 550 collection have surfaced. Inspired by black soles used in skateboarding and hiking shoes in the 90s, the capsule sees the popular New Balance silhouette get reworked in "Lavender," "Brown" and "Green" color schemes with stealthy accents. They'll be stocked online in the US, on August 23 along with Europe and China on August 24. Korea's in-store and online drops will go down on August 24 as well. Its relationship with the latter continues to grow stronger as they have worked on an array of silhouettes together such as the 860v2, 1906 and the 2002R. And now it look as though a thisisneverthat x New Balance 550 collaboration is in the works as early images of the pair have popped up on our radar.The South Korea-based label makes a noticeable modification to the construction of its forthcoming team-up. Instead of utilizing its traditional leather and suede panels, it employs a canvas material that's drenched in a dark brown hue to make up a majority of the base layer's real estate. Lace loops match up with glossy brown finishes while solid black accents sit adjacent and drop off on the laces, cracked leather "N" logos, interior liners and "thisisneverthat" branding that is embroidered into the heels.
