It’s a great time to be Vans, and inversely, a tougher-than-usual time to be a Vans fan. No doubt, the California company has served up some of its most inspiring designs in the last year and change, but if those have caught your eye, it’s all of a sudden become difficult to actually get your hands on them. While the brand’s cachet via more accessible fare is everlasting, many of those high-profile efforts have come under their Vans OTW pinnacle label, now continuing a hot streak with the help of OAMC.

Following up a recent three-way link-up that also carried WTAPS into the mix, OAMC and Vans stick to two core motifs explored in that November chapter: camouflage patterns and rugged hardware. However, it’s clear that this is a real step up in terms of compositional experimentation. Rather than simply adding new traction tooling to established silhouettes, OAMC genuinely gives the Authentic and Half Cab completely new tasks, outfitting the former as a lugged oxford and the latter as a trail boot.

Vibram soles on either one ensure that the overhaul isn’t just a visual one, with an additional clever touch coming on the Half Cab Boot, where an inset zip pocket sits at the collar. Contrasting the desert camo applications from the duo’s aforementioned work, Vans and OAMC outfit these two new kicks in traditional olive camo and black suede.

Though stateside pricing info hasn’t been confirmed just yet, either silhouette has started popping up on overseas channels, where €159 and €175 figures are attached to the Authentic and Half Cab, respectively. This Vans x OAMC capsule is confirmed to release on February 20th via Vans.com.
