Nike is preparing all kinds of sneakers and apparel for this year’s World Cup festivities. Today the Air Force 1 has surfaced in another kit-inspired colorway, this time imitating the Team USA away jerseys.

The lead up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been going on for months now. New sneaker releases and special projects started leaking as early as December 2025, and the last few months have delivered tons of new gear for the many national teams participating in this Summer’s tournament. Nike will be the official partners of 11 of those teams, outfitting the full roster with special-edition kits for both on and off the field, including footwear. These jerseys have already released publicly and are readily available, including Team USA’s dark navy blue Away kit. That blue starry jersey serves as the inspiration for their special-edition Air Force 1 release landing next month. The sneaker comes in an Obsidian tone for nearly the entire shoe, making up the mesh base layer, leather overlays, sole unit, tongues, and heel tabs. Mimicking the jersey it is inspired by, the midfoot panels and heels have a barely-there pattern of star outlines, while sheer white Swooshes and other branding accents in bright red complete the look.

The latest pair of Nike’s Air Force 1 to don a World Cup kit has not been officially announced yet, but is expected to release on June 4th, 2026. This pair of the AF1 is cast in a dark Obsidian blue shade, with barely-there stars printed on the midfoot and heel panels, mimicking the Team USA away kit for this Summer’s tournament. Pairs will be available from Nike and select retailers for $125.
