Nike’s Halloween efforts for 2025 have been impressive thus far. Particularly on the basketball front, the Swoosh has done exceedingly well to pair up its signature athletes with the traditional spooky themes. On the Sportswear side of things, Nike takes a borderline grotesque approach by covering its footwear in houseflies.
Set to launch days before the Halloween holiday is the Air Max 95 “Houseflies,” a counterpart to the Air Force 1 “Houseflies” that was revealed some time ago. The Big Bubbled retro runner is clad in black leather uppers with striking neon yellow visible Air units; this alone would’ve made for an excellent general release.
Nike takes it a step further by adding white housefly details across the leather upper and on the visible core on the bottoms, while cobwebs on the AIR MAX logo on the tongue further accomplish the creepy haunted house vibes. However, it’s worth posing the question: why houseflies? Spiders and cobwebs are par for the course when it comes to Halloween thematics, but these buzzing pests are usually present when there’s a rotting corpse nearby.
Find these at select Nike Sportswear retailers on October 21st, 2025; see official images ahead.
