Though Aritzia earnestly expanded into the United States in 2007, Aritzia bolstered its foothold in America in 2016, launching a full offensive in bringing their “everyday luxury” stylings to a new consumer base. We couldn’t possibly equate that retail expansion with being on the same level as their newly founded partnership with Nike, but linking up with the Swoosh is proof of that strategy paying off, providing a launchpad to further their presence in the minds of the general public.

That inaugural link-up in October 2025 strutted in with a premium retake of the archival LD-1000, fitting the once-performance model with cushy leathers and a refined brown palette. Step two of that journey doesn’t stray too far, as a fresh Aritzia x Nike LD-1000 looms with a “Sesame” palette swap. The Canadian-born retailer may not exactly fit the bill of “quiet luxury,” but that aesthetic is readable on this shoe, subtle in its flooded concept and understated branding. The latter appears with embossed mini Swooshes toward the toe, Nike spell-out on the heel, and cursive text on the tongue. Waxed laces and an gilded star charm finish out this sneaky stylish edition.

Exclusive access for the Aritzia x Nike LD-1000 in “Sesame” is open now. On March 3rd, this collab will go wide via Aritzia online and in store as well as via Nike channels; note that some of the packaging and the hangtag charm will only come with pairs purchased via the retailer itself.
