For the 40th Anniversary of Bruce Kilgore’s iconic design, the Air Force 1, Nike Sportswear released a celebrated “Bronx Origins” colorway in October 2022. For 2023, the Swoosh will be releasing an alternate “Black” edition of the special colorway paying homage to 50 Years of Hip-Hop.
Dressed in a Black, Metallic Gold, and White color scheme. This offering of the Nike Air Force 1 Low features mesh tongues and side panels covered in repeated-swoosh branding with Black tumbled leather overlays and velour liners. Other details includes CD-inspired iridescent Swooshes, Metallic Gold tongue labels and “AF1” heels with special-celebrated vinyl lace dubraes and insole decals. A White midsole atop a translucent outsole with “Bronx Origins” underfoot completes the design.
