Nike Sportswear has touched down at Paris Fashion Week with one of its most intriguing seasonal footwear collections in recent memory, headlined by the already-controversial Air Force 1 Square Toe, new takes on the ACG Goadome Low, and for our purposes, the continued comeback of the quirky, 2002-born Air Max Dolce.
Like many obscure, long-lost Nike models before it, the Air Max Dolce made its return through a Comme des Garçons collaboration earlier this year. Now the model appears poised for a more earnest run to shelves spanning both general release colorways and special editions. Shown here are three new styles that build on the more formal upper tooling introduced through CDG’s pairs, including black and white croc skin versions. We’re also hit with a semi-deconstructed black leather style that might be a collaboration with Swoosh partner A-COLD-WALL*, hinted at by an asterisk on the tongue.
While this specific moc-toe formula figures to play a starring role in the model’s resurgence, fans can also expect GR colorways that bring back the shoe’s original webbed TPU forefoot construction, including the upcoming “Light Magenta.” The Air Max Dolce debuted in 2002, landing in the middle of one of Nike’s most experimental eras and filtering the Air Max tech of the time through a dressier, loafer-adjacent lens. Recent successes like the New Balance 1906L have shown that polarizing hybrids can generate plenty of virality and “discourse,” but whether Nike can translate that attention into actual demand is the question we’re most eager to see answered.
Brands at Paris Fashion Week are currently showcasing Spring/Summer 2027 product, so expect all three Air Max Dolce styles to land around that window. For now, see detailed images below.
