Miu Miu and New Balance are arguably the pioneers behind the recent super slim trend in sneakers. This week, the two dropped a fresh batch of the popular 530L collaboration, with four new colors on offer. Unfortunately, they still cost over $1,200.

Miu Miu was one of the few high-fashion labels to keep out of the wave of sneaker collaborations that hit us between 2018 and 2022. Likely biding their time, they eventually teamed up with New Balance, an apt choice for their style, to create elevated pairs of classic NB silhouettes. They kicked off their partnership with the 574, before moving on to the 530 and reengineering it with a SuperLight version. This style removed any semblance of a midsole, opting for a gum rubber outsole attached directly to the suede upper. Many brands have followed suit, like Nike and adidas reaching into their archives to revive the Sprint Sister and Ghost Sprint, respectively, even using campaign imagery that looked like a blatant rip of Miu Miu’s styling.

However, Miu Miu and New Balance are still the originators of this trend, and have dressed up their 530L sneaker in a range of new colors for Summer 2026. The collection landed earlier this week, and is now available direct from the luxury label’s website and stores. Four colors are available this time around, the natural “Butter Yellow” pair, a darker “Hazelnut” brown, faded “Sage Green”, and finally a steely “Periwinkle Blue”. All pairs feature a suede and mesh upper, with multiple lace options to choose from in each box.

The latest release of Miu Miu’s take on the New Balance 530L landed this week, as a part of the brand’s Summer 2026 campaign. The super slim runner has bene updated with four colors for this release; Sage Green, Hazelnut, Butter Yellow, and Periwinkle Blue. All four styles are currently available direct from the brand’s website, with the same $1,270 price tag as past releases.
