The Kim Kardashian x Nike footwear era has officially begun. On January 26th, NikeSkims launched its first-ever sneaker release to the public–a reworked iteration of the iconic Air Rift. Pairs of the original three have sold out, but not to worry; Nike’s got more aces up the sleeve.

Here’s the good news: the second wave of the NikeSkims Rift Mesh is coming much sooner than you think. The super-sleek silhouette with the tabi-toed construction will in fact return on February 5th with a new satin finish. Thus far, a black colorway and a silt red option will be available, further diving into the ballet-themed micro-trend that’s been pulsating in women’s athletic sportswear.

The original Air Rift first debuted in 1995; the sandal slash sneaker was inspired by the Great Rift Valley in Kenya and debut in an apt colorway that matched the country flag. The Rift was one of several Nike innovations that were inspired by the ultra-light, nearly barefoot principles of running. The NikeSkims edition is even closer to a second skin, sticking extremely close to the skin.

Again, both NikeSkims Rift Mesh colorways are hitting Nike.com on February 5th.
