Paris Saint-Germain is expanding their Nike partnership into (somewhat) modern basketball shoes. Today we got an early look at their next Swoosh project, a two-pack of of the KD6, with some styling borrowed form vintage football boots.

Nike’s relationship with Paris Saint-Germain is one of the longest-running sponsorship deals in sports. The first contract between the two was signed in 1989, for Nike to provide kits for the fabled French team. They’ve re-upped on the deal regularly since then, with the two most recent updates in 2013, and in 2019, which extended the partnership into 2032. That latest contract was also their biggest yet, tripling PSG’s compensation from around $25 million to $75 million, placing them ahead of Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Tottenham, and Liverpool in terms of annual kit value. The new deal also roped Jordan Brand in on the fun, whose Jumpman logo has appeared on several PSG kits since 2019.

In addition to the new jerseys, Nike and PSG finally began teaming up for co-branded footwear and apparel projects, exploring historic sneakers like the Air Jordan 6 for fans and players to sport off the pitch. This week, PSG is making the jump into more modern basketball shoes with Kevin Durant’s KD6 signature. The 2013 model dons two colorways for a special release, both of which add stitching lines across the upper reminiscent of vintage football boots. One colorway comes in white, with the other in metallic silver. Both add a hefty dose of navy blue and red accents to complete the team affiliation.
