Jordan Brand Officially Reveals the Jordan Luka 2

Luka Dončić makes playing basketball look easy as he sees plays before they happen and flows smoothly on the court with his elite, offensive prowess. And so for the Slovenian superstar's next signature sneaker — the Jordan Luka 2 — Jordan Brand designers wanted to highlight his crafty style of play and build a model that would complement his nonlinear movements by zeroing in on his separation skills. In order to maximize the Dallas Mavericks slasher's quick cuts and sudden step-back jumpers, Jumpman designers implemented full-length Formula 23 cushioning, an IsoPlate for premium balance and a medial wedge of Cushlon 3.0 foam to assist players in efficiently pushing off their forefoot. Additionally, each installment is made with at least 20 percent recycled material by weight. In the coming months, Dončić's fresh signature is slated to release in five colorways. The kick's "Quai 54" iteration salutes Pan-Africanism and comes prepared with green, red and black accents along with double x hits to call out the tournament's 20th anniversary. This variation will launch on July 8. A "Nebula" installment inspired by PEs from his past Air Jordan XXXV Low “Cosmic Deception” PE is lined up for July 27, and this is fashioned with a playful blend of pink, purple, orange and grey hits that form a tie-dye pattern to resemble an outer space nebula. The Jordan Luka 2 “Luk.AI” version drops on July 11 and mimics the NBA star's AI alter-ego that he unveiled last year alongside Epic Games. A "Matador" offering comes engineered with red, teal and metallic gold color-blocking to hearken back to his early professional hoops career in Madrid and is releasing on August 3. Lastly, a "Lake Bled" rendition that's devoted to Slovenia’s Lake Bled in the Julian Alps is on the calendar for a September 14 launch.Check out a closer look at the new court-ready model in the gallery above. For other footwear news, on-foot images of the Air Jordan 1 High “Royal Reimagined” have emerged.
