We’re routinely impressed by the size and scope of the unreleased Air Jordan sample archive, often hit with first looks out of nowhere at impressive designs from years, or in this case, decades ago. Detailed images shared by @englishsole now reveal an unreleased Air Jordan 6 “Iridescent Bred” sample created back in 2010, a certified beauty we wouldn’t mind seeing hit shelves sometime down the line.
2010 was an excellent year for Air Jordan 6 releases, headlined by the two-pair “Infrared” pack alongside pairs like the “Oreo,” “Lakers,” and “Pistons,” to name a few. This unreleased sample could have played a role in another world, delivering classic “Bred” vibes with a black leather and nubuck upper, red interior, and black, red, and white midsole. The most obvious connection is to the original “Infrared” Jordan 6, but while casuals might lump them together, “Bred” is of course a whole different formula in the Air Jordan line. Iridescent touches on the Jumpman logo, heel spoilers, and lace cover stitching give these their nickname. Pretty clean.
There have been no indications that the Air Jordan 6 “Iridescent Bred” will ever see a public release, though Jordan Brand has made a habit of reviving long-lost samples in recent years (see this year’s “Salesman” 6s). Scroll through detailed images below and hit our Jordan Release Dates page to browse upcoming pairs.
