Reset the “days without an Air Jordan 1 offshoot” counter. We joke, but it’s common knowledge that the Jumpman is always willing to bring new life and energy to Mike’s very first shoe, having taken on the tech runner movement and the world of platform boots in some of its recent tricks.

Each of those (the Jordan 1 “Method Of Make” v3 and Jordan 1 Brooklyn, namely) made clear their connection to the AJ1 in their titles, but the latest member of the lineage obscures that a bit. Enter the Jordan Skyline Low, delineated as its own beast but still unabashedly carrying the torch.

The sole unit on this low-cut is unchanged in its inset Air unit and overall shape, but notably drops the height for more of a low-profile presence. Additionally, though you can reverse engineer the overall contours of the upper from the AJ1, a wide section of uninterrupted mesh, a curved suede toe guard, and an even split leather/suede back half almost place this somewhere between a runner and a skate shoe. Two of these three initial colorways capture classic black-and-white (with some grey sprinkled between), while a third looks to MJ’s own history with a UNC-like look.
