Hidden NY’s penchant for secrecy in their sneaker drops has made their rollout all the more interesting. However, that plan seems to have been broken for their next Asics project, featuring the GEL-Kinetic 2.0.

Leaks, teases, and early factory photos are all a part of a high-profile sneaker rollout. Usually, brands have a large portion of control in how their projects are initially shown to the public, and Hidden NY has proved quite good at this, as their upcoming BAPE release was teased early this year before being scrubbed from the internet. Now, something unusual has happened with their next Asics project; they are already in the hands of a consumer. Found on the r/asics subreddit, one user shared in-hand images of a new Hidden GEL-Kinetic 2.0 release, which has neither been teased or officially shared before today. The user claims that they purchased this pair during an in-store visit, though which store and where remains a mystery. Of course, this could be a part of a planned sneaker rollout, though given that Hidden is currently in the midst of a release with a different brand, this seems more like an error on the retail side. Their take on the new GEL-Kinetic 2.0 model comes in white with silver metallic secondary tones, green accents, and just a hint of baby blue along the soles. In the images below, packaging can be seen in the background as well as Hidden logos on the toes and heels, confirming the collaborative nature of this pair.

HIDDEN NY X ASICS GEL-KINETIC 2.0 RELEASE INFORMATION

As far as sneaker leaks go, this one is a bit of an odd one. Before today, there was no teaser or leak regarding this Hidden NY x Asics project, so we have no idea when these are supposed to release to the public. Given that they were purchased in a store (supposedly), we can safely assume a wider drop is planned for this Summer.
