First Look At The Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Low Protro “Dodgers”

Nike continues to expand Kobe Bryant’s lifestyle footwear legacy into the baseball diamond with another Los Angeles Dodgers-inspired release.

Dropping alongside the Kobe 5 Protro “Dodgers” in mid-August, the Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Protro “LA Dodgers” reveals a colorway inspired by the Dodgers’ road uniforms, pairing a light grey leather upper with bold red baseball-style stitching along the seam connecting the mid-panel and heel (a detail also seen in the Kobe 5).

Continuing the design is a snakeskin-textured Swoosh, further nodding to Bryant’s “Black Mamba” persona. At the heel sits an oversized “8,” a signature detail first introduced with the Air Force 1 Protro that pays tribute to Bryant’s original Lakers jersey number.

As of now, we’ve only spotted a quick teaser of the shoe via @jimboslice_ on Instagram. It is likely that the shoes will feature custom graphics on the insole (very likely an image of the late legend wearing Dodgers gear).

Sneaker News can confirm that the Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Protro “LA Dodgers” will release on August 15th for $150, launching alongside the Nike Kobe 5 Protro “LA Dodgers.” Together, the two silhouettes continue to form a fitting tribute to one of LA’s most enduring sports icons while celebrating another of the city’s most recognizable franchises.
