While the Nike Air Ship retro era has struggled to resonate with the sneaker community, Jordan Brand has been trying to generate more excitement around the silhouette by lending it to various collaborative partners. After teasing a project with Awake NY and launching a black and white installment alongside A Ma Maniére, the Air Ship has resurfaced on our radar in a new offering that's reinterpreted by Corporate Got ‘Em.Matt Tomamichel's Midwest retail chain has remixed the hoops-turned-lifestyle model with a myriad of special details. He steers away from the full leather upper and implements a combination of teal shaggy suede and leather panels for the base. The store's moniker is located on the lateral heels in white stitching, and the standard "Nike" heel branding has been substituted for "Got 'Em" spell-outs. On the interior sides of the collar, the phrase "For the City" is also embroidered in a white font which represents the community-first ethos that Tomamichel and his crew champion.The Corporate Got ‘Em x Jordan Air Ship is slated to release on September 8 via the retailer's brick-and-mortar locations and its website.
