In 2011, the highly sought-after Nike KD 4 ‘Weatherman’ made its original debut, drawing inspiration from Kevin Durant’s childhood aspiration of becoming a weatherman. This unique design quickly captured the attention of sneaker enthusiasts, resulting in swift sell-outs upon release. Such is the popularity of the colorway that it has become a prized collector’s item, with prices soaring to over $1,000. Exciting news awaits fans, as we can now confirm that the KD 4 ‘Weatherman’ is set to make a triumphant return in the summer of 2024.
The original release of this Nike KD 4 showcases an eye-catching combination of colors, including Lush Green, Volt, Black, and Team Orange. In the forthcoming 2024 edition, we can anticipate the same color blocking to be present. The shoes are notably highlighted by a vibrant Green hue on the upper, reminiscent of a green screen. Adding to the distinctive design, thermo-mapping prints derived from scans of Kevin Durant’s own footprint can be seen on various parts of the shoe, including the translucent outsoles.
