The cat’s out of the bag. Following an Air Jordan 5 pack that was a recurring face in Sneaker of the Year conversations last year, Angelo Baque’s Awake NY imprint is taking its talents to the Air Jordan 6 for Fall. As we inch toward a release, new detailed images of the “Midnight Navy” colorway clue fans in on what to expect.

One of two colorways alongside the Awake NY Jordan 6 “Playful Pink,” this pair stands out with a rather radical mix of materials, colors, and branding. Eyes first go to the quarter, where perforated TPU houses Awake’s signature script “A” logo, continuing a signature watermark from the brand’s previous AJ5 pack. The titular Midnight Navy color pins down the back half of the shoe, including the lining, spoiler, and enveloping heel panel, the latter featuring a texture akin to fine leather good (and perhaps the knockoffs found on New York’s Canal Street). The forefoot skews lighter, balanced by Game Royal and Light Blue nubuck placements, while Infrared 23 contrast stitching runs rampant throughout. The tongue and heel branding are also done in Infrared 23, while the sole balances black, clear, and pink-speckled Infrared 23 treatments.

The Awake NY x Air Jordan 6 pack is expected to begin rolling out in late August through early September, likely starting with an Awake NY drop before hitting SNKRS and additional outlets. See detailed pics of the “Midnight Navy” edition below if you’re a fan.
