December’s Air Jordan 5 “Reverse Metallic” Sets The Table For 2025 Anniversary Year

Understandably, the line-up is 2025 Jordan Releases is heavy with Air Jordan 5s because next year marks the 35th Anniversary of the timeless model. With originals such as the Air Jordan 5 “Grape” confirmed to return next summer and the Reimagined series ushering in its first-ever Air Jordan 5 next Spring, there’s plenty to be excited about if you’ve been a loyalist of the 1990-born silhouette.

Acting as an appetizer to the 35th Anniversary of the Air Jordan 5 is the “Reverse Metallic” colorway slated to drop later this December. It adopted that nickname for being somewhat of an inverse colorway of the OG Black/Metallic, but touches of the off-white sail hue on the outsole rubber bottoms and lace-lock give these more of a modern spin.

Remaining true to Tinker’s intent three-and-a-half decades ago is the oversized tongue that shines bright when hit with flash, joined by the “Sharks Tooth” detail on the midsole — one of the most iconic design elements in Air Jordan history.

You’ll have to wait a bit for this Air Jordan 5 to release, because as of the publishing of this article, the “Reverse Metallic” Jordan 5 won’t be available until December 7th.
