Chris Musquiz Jr.’s Nike Go FlyEase “Doernbecher” Releasing December 2023

Part of the 2023 Doernbecher series, we have the Nike Go FlyEase “Doernbecher” designed by Chris Musquiz Jr. His pair will be released in December 2023.

The Nike Doernbecher Freestyle XIX Collection includes a solid lineup of six different sneakers from Nike and Jordan Brand. Each pair is designed by a different Doernbecher Children’s Hospital patient, with one of the individuals being Chris Musquiz Jr. His sneaker of choice is the Nike Go FlyEase.

Chris Musquiz Jr. was cycling to school when he was in an accident, leaving him critically injured and resulting in the loss of his leg. His courage and optimism ensured he would prevail. His Nike Go FlyEase comes highlighted in various colors, like Red, Black, Teal, Turquoise, and White. The inspiration for his pair comes from his love for Japanese culture. Highlighted with a wave pattern on the upper that represents Japanese art and a Red kimono-inspired wrap. The tongue features a logo of Mt. Fuji, while the liner symbolizes Chris’ happy place, hanging out with a panda on the beach. Lastly, the insoles are a tribute to his intelligence and his love of learning, with the phrase “Smarter than you think” with footprints leading him to his place of peace.

Nike Go FlyEase Doernbecher Release Date
