Ballet Shoes Are Getting Popular. Jordan Took That Personally

No footwear brand is above hopping on trends popularized by others, and that includes the Jumpman. The past few years have seen no shortage of mold-breaking styles, including chunky boots like the Jordan 1 Brooklyn and the equally ambitious Air Jordan Mule. Now Jordan Brand has its eyes set on the ballet shoe trend with a new women’s model called the Jordan Pointe, shown here in two eye-catching colorways.

The Jordan Pointe stands out with long ribbons that weave through an open forefoot and extend upward, meant to be worn around the ankle and calf. The sneaker itself, meanwhile, is pretty far removed from the slim-soled models we’ve come to associate with the ballet trend. We’re getting shades of the Air Max Sunder as well as the all-new Jordan Trunner O/S, two models rooted in chunky Y2K-era design language. We also can’t help but think of Riccardo Tisci, who dropped a ballet-inspired Nike Shox TL collab seemingly out of nowhere last year.

Smooth leather makes up the vamp around the exposed forefoot, while velcro strap enclosures are utilized up top so you can theoretically take out the ribbons entirely. Multiple sculpted leather panels form the mudguard and toe cap, while an abstract midsole featuring a sizable midfoot curve lands below. Further down, the outsole mixes both wavy and herringbone traction.

The women’s-exclusive Jordan Pointe ballet shoe has emerged in two monochrome colorways as of this writing, one in Chile Red and another in Hyper Royal. Both are set to land sometime during the Spring 2026 shopping season. See official images below and keep our Jordan Release Dates page bookmarked to stay on top of all upcoming pairs.

In other women’s-exclusive Jordan news, the Air Jordan 4 “Valentine’s Day” drops February 7th.
