Bad Bunny’s adidas BadBo 1.0 Cleats Debut in a Custom Style for Puerto Rico

Bad Bunny and adidas are unstoppable this year. The two are off to a hot start, launching the artist’s first signature sneaker, the BadBo 1.0, on the heels of a Grammy win and Super Bowl Halftime Show. This week, the shoe’s baseball cleat version made its debut in a special Puerto Rico colorway.

Bad Bunny’s love for his home country of Puerto Rico is unmatched. The Grammy-winning musician represents his home in nearly every public appearance, and brought Puerto Rican culture to one of the world’s largest stages last month during his Super Bowl Halftime performance. This week, the World Baseball Classic kicked off, and Benito has tapped his footwear partner, adidas, to outfit PR’s national team with new kicks for the tournament. Prior to this unveiling, the BadBo 1.0 cleat was rumored to arrive this year, which adidas has now confirmed with this player-edition style. This colorway, however, will be exclusive to PR’s biggest stars. The look pairs a white upper and midsole with blue overlays, applied in both suede and nubuck panels and using light and medium shades of blue. The heels feature bold red embroidery, with BB for Bad Bunny on the right shoe, and PR on the left.

adidas has confirmed plans to release a baseball cleat version of the Bad Bunny BadBo 1.0 sometime later this year, but no date or official timeline has been given yet. For now, this custom pair for the Puerto Rican National team is our best look at the modified sneaker, and these pairs are strictly for the team and will not release to the public. In the meantime, the next release of the standard-issue BadBo is rumored for later this month, in the black & white “Rise” colorway.
