atmos has expanded their range of sneaker collaborators over the years, now teaming up with Salomon on a regular basis. This week, we have our first look at a “Stars Collide II” release, featuring the XT-4 GTX.

atmos has been shaping sneaker culture for decades, and its influence still hits hard today. The Tokyo-based retailer built its name on bold, pattern-driven collaborations that pushed brands into new territory, like the Air Max 1 “Safari” or “Elephant,” both of which changed how people viewed limited-edition drops. atmos knows how to mix nostalgia with fresh design, and every collaboration feels like a celebration of sneaker history. Over the years, they’ve turned their releases into global events, proving that a boutique can drive trends far beyond its home city.

This week, we have an early look at one of atmos’ latest projects, which sees them reuniting with Salomon for an excellent seasonal release. The two are revisiting their “Stars Collide” theme, which debuted in 2023 on the XT-6. This year, they’ve swapped out the silhouette for the XT-4, complete with a waterproof Gore-Tex lining for Winter weather. The shoe features a mesh base layer in “Carbon’, which appears to be a dark shade of navy blue in the early in-hand photos. Metallic silver overlays are added on top, while reflective starts are dotted across the upper.

The next release from Japanese retailer atmos and Salomon has not been officially announced yet, but is currently expected to arrive sometime in December 2025. The latest release returns to their “Stars Collide” theme for a second edition, featuring the XT-4 GTX as their canvas. Dressed in dark tones with reflective overlays and stars added, pairs will likely be available exclusively through atmos channels.
