ASICS GEL-NYC and GEL-1130 Get The "Kale Green" Treatment

Official images of the ASICS GEL-1130 and GEL-NYC in "Kale Green" with updated lifestyle elements have surfaced. The new colorway and design elements for the GEL-1130 specifically, were teased in early August by Marc Marquez, ASICS Sportstyle Marketing Brand Manager, via our Sole Mates series.As Marquez expressed then, both of these Kale Green examples, a colorway conceptualized by him, feature flat cream laces -- a design element specifically selected to provide "more of a lifestyle look," as opposed to traditional running laces. In regard to the color choice, the designer shared that he particularly likes how the green hues work in harmony with the various metallic hits throughout the GEL-1130 and GEL-NYC.Other design details include cream-colored open mesh as the base layer of the upper, embroidered Kale Green logos on the tongues of the GEL-NYCs and rubberized Kale Green logos on the GEL-1130s. Both silhouettes sit on white mid-soles that feature touches of Kale Green and cream-colored outsoles.The two pairs are set to launch via ASICS official site on September 23, with the GEL-1130 priced at $95 USD and the GEL-NYC priced at $130.In other footwear news, the Nike P-6000 arrives in Coconut Milk and Metallic Silver.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
