Chris Gibbs and his Union label have earned inner circle status when it comes to Beaverton’s collaborations. Their work on icons like the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 4 is patent proof; it’s not just any designer that’s afforded the chance to take those types of big swings on those iconic silhouettes. Yet while those shoes get the headlines, clearly Gibbs and co. bring the same approach to any model brought before them, from the Field General to the Cortez.
In the same way that the LA imprint has turned back to its mash-up Air Jordan 1 series in 2026 and 2025, they’re spinning the block once again with the Union x Nike Dunk Low, a two-pair capsule returning to Peter Moore’s iconic design. Of course, Union has already taken a stab at the silhouette during its “peak era” via the Passport Pack, but this flexes a more restrained take on the model. Shown here for the first time is a “Bamboo” olive suede edition, carrying the brand’s hallmarks in exposed stitching towards the toe and a fabric tag right above it. More notably, perhaps, is a flip-down heel that threatens to turn the erstwhile basketball shoe into a mule, carrying echoes of Kids of Immigrant’s Total 90 Mule or the Soulgoods Homescape Woven.
The Union x Nike Dunk Low in this “Bamboo” colorway and a previously revealed black were initially reported for a Fall 2026 release, but given that the season ends just over two weeks after this writing, it seems like a Holiday drop is more likely.
