AMBUSH Converts The Nike Air More Uptempo Into A Low-Top

Yoon Ahn of AMBUSH was quite sneaky when she first teased her upcoming AMBUSH x Nike Air More Uptempo back in April. While she wasn’t shy about the model and the colors, she was clearly secretive about one major detail: the shoes will be a first-time Low.

The Air More Uptempo from 1996 has bee modified to be a lower-cut model, as revealed here in these first-look images. Championing the original black/white colorway, Yoon and Nike convert the all-time classic model into more of the 3/4 cut height, shrinking the big AIR in the process. The full-length Max Air outsole remains consistent, with simple AMBUSH lettering on the heel.

This Low-top take on the Air More Uptempo is sure to ruffle a few feathers of OG purists, but given its history and the sheer number of colorways that already exist on the market, we’re welcoming this bold take with open arms.

Release details are sparse, but keep in mind that there are at least two colorways coming from AMBUSH’s next Nike collaboration.
