Over the last several years, I have read numerous comments asking when Jordan Brand will bring back the Air Jordan 7. For a while, details weren’t known. However, I recently announced that the “Tennis Day” pair would debut. Most wanted an older or original colorway to drop. Well, the good news is that the “Miro” Air Jordan 7 will return in June 2026.
This classic Air Jordan 7 is inspired by Dona i Ocell, also known as Woman and Bird, a famous sculpture in Barcelona by Spanish artist Joan Miró. Originally released in 2008 and launched before the Beijing Olympics. The “Miro” AJ 7 also connects to the original Air Jordan 7 that launched in 1992. Michael Jordan and the Dream Team played in Barcelona to take home the Gold medal. Jordan wore the classic “Olympic” colorway. Coming full circle, Miró was born in Barcelona.
The 2026 release comes dressed in a White, Metallic Gold, Sport Red, and Varsity Royal color scheme. Utilizing Black nubuck on the base with White leather on the overlays. The highlight is the abstract shapes in Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, and Black, a nod to Miró’s sculpture Dona i Ocell in Barcelona. The heel also features Jordan’s Olympic number 9, and the outsole has a translucent finish with a Gold Jumpman and flag-inspired designs.
