After a few quiet years, the Air Jordan 7 is stepping back into the spotlight in 2026. New and old styles are on tap, now including the first-ever retro of the Air Jordan 7 “Miro” from 2008.

While most of Michael Jordan’s original 1 through 14 signatures are closely tied to his Chicago Bulls tenure, the Air Jordan 7 carved out a different legacy. Introduced in 1992, the model is forever linked to Team USA and the legendary “Dream Team,” bolstered by its Olympic colorway and a string of later releases celebrating MJ’s dominance on the global stage.

The Air Jordan 7 “Miro” originally released for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, drawing inspiration from Dona i Ocell (Woman and Bird), a vibrant Barcelona sculpture by Spanish artist Joan Miró. Barcelona, of course, hosted the 1992 Olympic Games where the “Dream Team” cemented its place in basketball history. There’s a loose aesthetic parallel to 2015’s “Nothing But Net” 7s, that shoe inspired by the colorful sweater MJ famously wore in Barcelona. The “Miro” features bold, multi-color illustrations splashed across the overlays and outsole. Black nubuck anchors the upper, while hits nodding to the Olympic rings appear on the laces and heel detailing. The 2026 pair is expected to stay true to the 2008 original, though an updated shape isn’t out of the question.
