Launching alongside Jordan Brand’s “Year of the Dragon” collection in 2024, we have the Air Jordan 38 “Chinese New Year” dropping in January.
Each year, Jordan Brand celebrates the current Chinese Zodiac sign, and in 2024, we have the Year of the Dragon that will debut alongside a few “Chinese New Year” pairs. The last time the brand dropped the YOTD collection was in 2012, and consisted of various models. 2024 will follow suit by providing a few silhouettes to choose from. After previewing the “Year of the Dragon” Air Jordan 1 Low OG, the Air Jordan 38 will celebrate the Chinese New Year.
It features a Cedar, Metallic Gold Grain, Light Pumice, Sail, Oil Green, and Dark Team Red color combination. In addition to the color palette, we have a wide range of materials like mesh, suede, and textiles. Taking a different approach from the AJ1, the shoes come covered in Red with Light Green on the laces, the backdrop of the tongue branding, and most of the midsole. Both Purple and Gold also adorn the midsoles. A special logo on the insoles completes the look.
