Adidas has officially launched its first-ever Ultraboost Golf shoe in a versatile spikeless design. The debut colorway shown above appears in hues of "Silver Pebble/Olive Strata" with more limited-edition iterations on the way.While maintaining the silhouette's lightweight Primeknit uppers and Boost midsoles for maximum cushioning and energy return, a number of aesthetic and performance upgrades are added to suit the course. Highlights include ADIWEAR rubber outsoles with raised textured lugs exhibiting anti-clogging properties, hydrophobic yarns incorporated in the vamp and back-half of the uppers to repel unwanted moisture, croc-textured saddles and TPU clips, and updated EVA sockliners specifically engineered for golfers. Finally, tongue tabs appear mismatched with the three stripes and globe icon for an subtle added touch.“At the heart of Ultraboost is a silhouette that perfectly blends high-performance with streetwear fashion, and that’s something we wanted to bring to the course,” said Masun Denison, director of global footwear, adidas Golf. “Even though it’s been around for less than a decade, it’s such an icon within the brand, so we took our time to only add pieces that would benefit golfers while still keeping the DNA that make this shoe so great.
