A Ma Maniere and Jordan Brand will have another busy year for collaborations. Helping celebrate the 40th Anniversary of when Michael Jordan first laced up his Air Jordans, we have the A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 6 “Smoke Mauve,” aka “Built for This” arriving during the Holiday 2025 season. This marks the first time that the boutique will collaborate on the silhouette.
This release is part of the “Built For This” campaign, continuing Whitaker Group’s storytelling around resilience, dignity, and everyday perseverance that defines their approach to their Jordan collaborations. The smokey mauve color appears across the upper and features a soft nubuck. Additionally, a subtle satin shine appears on the tongue. The quilted liner returns as a signature A Ma Maniére design element, providing a luxurious feel.
The aged outsole isn’t anything new from A Ma Maniere or Jordan Brand. However, in my opinion, it works with the upper. Another nice element is “Maniere” on the left tongue, and Nike Air on the heels.
Taking this release a step further, the packaging features artwork by Jammie Holmes. The piece is known as “Malcolm,” showing a young man attending one of Malcolm X’s speeches.

Bottom Line
When I first saw the shoes, I thought it resembled the “Georgetown” Air Jordan 6, and overall, I wasn’t happy with the release. However, it must of been the lighting because with these photos, it looks different. I do like the premium touches we traditionally see with A Ma Maniere releases, plus the Nike Air on the heels is a great look.
