A Closer Look at the Nike KD 3 ‘Aunt Pearl’

Kevin Durant and his signature lineup have multiple pairs receive the ‘Aunt Pearl’ treatment. Each pair consists of various shades of Pink and pays tribute to his Aunt Pearl, who passed in 2001 from cancer. We saw the series start in 2011 on the KD 4, and with Nike launching retros of KD’s line, we will see the Nike KD 3 ‘Aunt Pearl’ make a retail appearance in 2023.

This Nike KD 3 comes dressed in a Medium Soft Pink, White, and Lotus Pink color combination and not only pays tribute to his Aunt Pearl but will also raise funding for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Utilizing leather, mesh, and Flywire throughout thats highlighted in shades of Pink. In addition, more Pink is used on the toe box, panels, and heels, with a darker Pink on the liner. Highlighting the shoes is a special logo on the heels that represents Aunt Pearl and Kay Yow. Other details include special embroidery on the inside of tent tongue for Aunt Pearl, a White midsole, and a semi-translucent outsole.

Nike KD 3 Aunt Pearl Release Date

You can expect the Nike KD 3 ‘Aunt Pearl’ to release at select retailers and Nike.com during Holiday 2023. It’s possible that we could see the shoes launch in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The retail price is $130. Once we have more information, we will make sure to update you.
