Few brands stand out in terms of “hype culture” more than Medicom and A Bathing Ape. Branching from Lil Wayne’s BAPE camo hoodies to KAWS dolls that became integral parts of many sneakerheads’ displays, the two imprints have also held onto a fruitful partnership, now at the forefront again as a Medicom x BAPE collection appears for the former’s 30th anniversary.

All the hits you’d usually associate with both companies make an appearance, as zip hoodies, hoodie-wearing 1000%, 400%, and 100% figures, and Milo tees line up for the occasion. However, true to form, our focus is on the footwear. The BAPE Sta goes expressive in its Star and heel cup, delivering a co-branded APE camo that leans on the primary colors used in the Medicom logo. The same tonality influences the lace attachment and the insoles, while the rest of the real estate leans simplistic, nearing a triple-white arrangement on the modified STA shape.

The Medicom Toy x A Bathing Ape BAPE STA will release alongside a full apparel collection on August 8th via partnering retailers, online channels, and the brands’ storefronts.
