We knew the Virgil Abloh Jordan 1 would command plenty of attention, but few could’ve predicted just how far the late designer’s estate would take things on the marketing front. The rollout has turned global, with activations touching down in cities central to Virgil’s life and career, including Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, London, Paris, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.

Today, the focus shifts to Paris, where the Virgil Abloh Archive has announced a two-day campout event. The activation is currently underway at Place Raoul-Follereau, with participation details provided on-site during registration. Entry is limited to adults, and attendees are required to bring a physical ID and a pen.

Paris holds special weight for any designer operating at the highest level, and that was certainly true for Virgil, who first joined the scene in 2009. The city served as one of his most important creative stages, the site of multiple collaboration launches, art exhibitions, and more.
