After sample images teased NB heads for years, The Whitaker Group finally dropped their New Balance 990v4 and 998 “Willful Bias” collection the other month. With that Made In USA capsule still close in our rear-view, James Whitner’s collective is giving us a rather quick and unexpected follow-up – this time on the New Balance 740.

Titled the New Balance 740 “Willful Bias For Discovery,” the sneaker intends to invoke confidence and authenticity. Brand speak aside, there’s lots to love. Premium white mesh fabric lives on the base, followed by white/black/gold leather overlays. An intricate black mesh pattern peeks through around the heel, while “WB” text on the tongue comes in as the main branded touch.
