The Phoenix Suns Are Getting Their Own Air Jordan 5 in 2027

The NBA All-Star Weekend is heading to Phoenix, Arizona for the 2027 mid-season break. To celebrate, Nike & Jordan are cooking up a host of Suns themed gear, including a themed pair of the Air Jordan 5 for the occasion.

The NBA All-Star Weekend travels from city to city each year, giving different teams a chance to host the rest of the league for a packed weekend of events, celebrations, and our favorite, sneaker releases. Nike and Jordan Brand are always at the forefront of whatever is happening on the sneaker side of things, with tons of activations and supplying local boutiques with early pairs of special releases. In 2027, the All-Star Game will head to Phoenix, Arizona, meaning we will see plenty of Suns-themed gear in February ’27. This week, a new leak says that the Air Jordan 5 will get a special release in the team’s colors next Spring. No photos of the shoe are available yet, but they are rumored to mimic Shawn Merion’s player-exclusive pair from his time with the Suns throughout the 2000s. White leather uppers, purple soles, and orange accents are all present, and of course finished with a 3M tongue.

AIR JORDAN 5 “PHOENIX SUNS” RELEASE INFORMATION

The upcoming special release of the Air Jordan 5 does not have any concrete release information yet, only that they will arrive sometime in Spring 2027, likely around All-Star Weekend. The pair is a recreation of Shawn Merion’s “Phoenix Suns” PE from 2013, featuring the team’s purple and orang tones over a white base. Pairs are expected to release from Nike and select retailers for $215.
