Finally the athlete and brand have come together for the first-ever retail launch of the shoe on September 4th. Releasing in limited quantity on Converse.com, SNKRS, KITH (Toronto, LA, NYC), and UNDEFEATED (LA), the Converse SHAI 001 “BUTTER” leads things off with an iconic lifestyle-ready colorway that has been tied to rugged, off-court looks for decades. Meant to be worn zipped up or down for both the hardwood and on the streets, the SHAI 001 is highlighted by a molded appearance, further distinguished by the monochromatic color-blocking.
Throughout the season, Shai and Converse have been steadily teasing new colorways, each with its own tonal execution with direct ties to his close friends and family. Everyone from his wife, mother, son, and best friend got their own colorways, redefining what it means to be part of the Friends & Family circle.
