The Air Jordan 5 may have been officially the guest of honor, but 2025 was once again a de facto year of the Air Jordan 4, persisting as the most coveted silhouette in Jordan Brand’s arsenal and arguably its most critically acclaimed, as the “Black Cat,” Undefeated, and the indomitable Nigel Sylvester “Brick By Brick” dominated the newswire. Is 2026 already shaping up to be another high point in the silhouette’s seemingly unstoppable reign?

Positioning the shoe at hand, the Air Jordan 4 “Lakeshow” as a centerpiece of the ever-splashy All-Star Weekend slate has us leaning towards “yes.” At the very least, this provides a regional chase product for Hollywood’s faithful, wearing that iconic blend of purple and yellow, the former applied through silky nubuck uppers and the latter in various branding hits throughout, including speckled Nike Air stamps on the heels.
