The Air Jordan 12 Gets Dipped in “Egg Nog” for the 2026 Holiday Season

The Air Jordan 12 is finally getting to have a little fun this year. Typically only released in retro colorways, the 1996 model will get a holiday-themed special colorway in 2026, dressing the high-top in “Egg Nog” inspired shades.

The twelfth model in Michael Jordan’s signature line has an odd legacy amongst the full lineup of Air Jordan sneakers. The silhouette was one of the main shoes Mike wore during the Bulls’ second three-peat of NBA championships, and has some iconic colorways like the “Flu Game” pair worn Jordan pushed through illness to play basketball. However, the model sits just outside of the run of the 1-11 models that most Jordan ‘heads hold in high esteem. The 12 still has plenty of love from the community, but does not often participate in special releases from Jordan Brand. This year, however, we will get at least one seasonal release of the 1996 silhouette, which is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary in 2026. Leaked by @zSneakerheadz, the AJ12 will release in a special “Egg Nog” colorway late this year. The shoe is expected to don a near-tonal off-white color to mimic the hue of the seasonal drink, with just a hint of dark brown accents to mimic freshly grated nutmeg.

The upcoming holiday-themed release of the Air Jordan 12 will not be officially announced until much later this year, but it is currently penciled in for a release on October 17th, 2026. However, this date is very likely to change, given the seasonal nature, we would expect the release somewhere between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Pairs will be available from both Nike and select retailers for $205.
