Nike is reminding everyone who the top dog is this summer. As part of a broader effort to “restore the feeling” around Nike icons after a lackluster last couple of years, the Swoosh is unleashing a wave of patent leather Air Force 1s for the warmer months, transporting its best-selling model back to one of its strongest eras with clear callbacks to the 2000s. Dare we say this latest pair might be the best we’ve seen so far, done up in a striking mix of red, orange, and yellow.
Summer 2026 is when the real push begins, but the writing has already been on the wall. Lil Yachty’s “Lucky Green” collab helped lay the foundation, while Central Cee is currently in the midst of a three-pair collection that’s strong in its own right. We’re also getting a patent leather Air Force 1 “Easter” in the near future, reprising one of the model’s best-known series with a callback to the original.
Joining pink, yellow, and blue colorways for Summer 2026 is this masterful dark red pair. The midsole and base layer arrive in deep red, while the Swoosh and heel tab appear in bright orange. The laces and insoles lean brighter with a neon-tinged red, while the tongue and heel branding come finished in yellow. Semi-translucent red gum soles add another layer of appeal, joined by a leather sockliner.
The Nike Air Force 1 “Red Patent” is expected to release Summer 2026, meaning sometime between April and June. See official retailer images below if you’re as big a fan as we are.
