Melitta Baumeister will likely be a figure that looms large over our coverage for months to come, as her work on the Pegasus Premium and Vomero Premium showcased that not only is there demand for Nike’s fashion meets running efforts, but under the right circumstances, they can become genuinely coveted.
Yet even before that breakout collection touched down, the Swoosh had proven willing to take textural chances with their latest performance icon. Another such juncture arrives with the “DSRPT” pack, uniting the Vomero 18 and Pegasus 42 in stealthy colorways with greyscale prints, particularly visible with lighter greys used on the midsole before going a bit subtler on the uppers. There, inset patterns on the mesh provide a distressed foundation, while additional synthetic layers add speckled depth. To round out, industrial text runs down the midline of either pair, pinning either shoe as being fresh off the assembly line.
The Nike Vomero 18 and Pegasus 42 “DSRPT” release on May 21st, retailing for $165 and $155, respectively.
